David, the director of the practice has 30 years experience in general practice and tax. David attended Aston University in Birmingham achieving an Honours Degree in Administrative Science in 1978. He later received a training contract from Harry Singer of Singer & Partners in Bridgend and moved to Carmarthen as a manager in 1981 when he qualified as a Chartered Accountant becoming a Fellow Chartered Accountant in 1991.
He believes strongly in providing a personal service to all clients of the practice and more importantly the need for helping them to develop thus engaging qualified, experienced, focused staff and Chartered Certified and Association of Accounting Trainees.
He acts for a variety of clients providing full Accountancy, Taxation and Wealth Planning Services with his team at Clay Shaw Butler. He ensures that each corporate client has a Qualified Relationship Accountant such that they have the benefit of at least two qualified contacts within the practice.
David says “in these recessionary times every business requires the involvement of a Qualified Proactive Accountant and unless they are fortunate to have their own Finance Director, then we are able to fill this gap by producing regular Management Accounts identifying key performance indicators and generally assisting them through the financial maze. Business owners generally do not have sufficient time to deal with all aspects of their business and ensure that their financials are up to date. This is where Clay Shaw Butler excel.”
