Caroline joined the Practice in 1996 from an equestrian background. She joined our Tax Department gaining the qualification of Taxation Technician and qualifying as a Chartered Taxation Advisor in January 2005.
Caroline manages online tax compliance filing and tax planning with her team. Since qualifying she has been advising on a wide range of business and personal tax issues including trusts, inheritance tax planning and capital gains.
Caroline enjoys the challenges and complexities that arise from working in a busy tax department. She particularly enjoys capital gains tax planning and has reduced tax liabilities for numerous clients, by ensuring that the relevant relief’s are claimed and elections are made.
Caroline is involved in tax investigations and gains satisfaction from negotiating settlements with HMRC which are favourable to clients, particularly where the fees are covered by IRPC and as a result there is no time pressure.
