01267 228 506
Amanda joined the firm as an Accounts Trainee in 1998 and commenced her training for the ACCA qualification. She qualified in 2005 and then gained her Association of Taxation Technician exams later that year.
Alongside her studies she gained experience in all aspects of the practice from VAT and payroll tasks to sole trader accounts preparation, small and medium sized company accounts and various audit assignments within industry and specialist sectors such as charities, solicitors and insurance brokers.
In early 2007 she moved to a larger firm to expand her knowledge and experience. There she managed a portfolio of clients from sole traders to Large Company groups within various sectors including industry, research, charitable and not for profit organisations and Housing Associations.
Additional skills that Amanda holds are that of cash forecasting, grant audits, due diligence work and the ability to provide guidance required in choosing accounting software and how to use this efficiently alongside the general financial systems of an organisation.
After taking a few months sabbatical which included climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and volunteering with NGO’s (non government organisations) in Tanzania, Kenya, Namibia and South Africa, she returned to Clay Shaw Butler as a Relationship Accountant in 2009.
Her current role includes providing an all round service to our clients using the skills and knowledge developed over the years.
